I had a wonderful private lesson today with an up and coming superstar Malinois puppy. He is four months old and today was his fourth private lesson. Each lesson last one hour and we met once per week. As of today he has learned to sit, down, bark on command, sit and down stay, bark on command, started a clicker retrieve, waits to be released for food or toys, outs toys on command and has tremendous focus while heeling. Towards the end of our lesson this week I decided to have the owner catch a little of his heeling work on video. He is a well bred dog with very balanced drives. He exhibits very high prey drive, but also has a serious side to his nature. He has had one group puppy protection class and excelled in that class. He is clearly an up and coming superstar.
