My “B” litter was born on Monday August 17th, 2009.  I already had my “B” names chosen, each pup being named, weighed and a ribbon on them as they popped out.   Bandit was the “First Born”,  of course you never know until you are done just what the sizes, sexes, weights, etc. all will be.  The pups got larger and larger as each one was born, so it turned out that Bandit who would have been called the runt, snuck past everyone and was labelled the”First Born”.  Then to choose Bandit for his name, when all was said and done, he did fit his name.  Only a Bandit could pull off such a feat.  haha

Because of the size difference and markings, I now know each pup without a ribbon being on them.  Bandit being the smallest at birth, every time I would go in the room the first 3 days, I would pick up Bandit and have him nursing more often than the other pups.   After reaching the 3 day mark I stopped doing this, yet I now notice my female (Candy) continuing where I left off, and Bandit is still getting extra to eat… and is always fed first, this picture just taken.  bandit.jpg

Is Candy continuing where I left off?  Do I think she is that smart?  Yes I personally do, but I would love to know if this has happened to anyone else out there, I find it all very interesting this last day and a half.
